Meghan Markle sparks reactions with her comment ‘tell the truth’ in podcast interview

Meghan Markle once again made it to the headlines after her “tell the truth” remarks, which were seemingly taken as a dig at the royal family.

The Duchess of Sussex sat down for a talk at entrepreneur Emma Grede’s podcast, Aspire.

From discussing her back-to-back projects and gaining her voice back with social media, the mother-of-two opened up about her old and present life.

The show’s host asked the Duchess about the public narrative about her and if she would like to change it. To which, Meghan said, “Yes. I would ask people to tell the truth,” which might be referencing her life eight years ago as a royal.

Emma added, “You’re very measured about it I would just get so angry if I felt like everyone was lying about me all the time.”

Meghan responded, “Peaks and valleys. Of course, I’ve gone through those chapters and you do a lot of work, you do a lot of self-work and go, ‘What’s the why?’ It’s happening for a reason.”

The mother-of-two recalled advice she received from her friend Serena Williams that “a lie can’t live forever”.

Now, Mail reported that the Palace insider warned the Duchess about telling the truth to the public.

The source said, “There are a lot of people both within the [royal] households and outside of them, who would love to say what really happened.”
