Kelce has been off the pace, with The U.S. Sun speaking to a source inside the Chiefs who revealed coach Andy Reid would have no hesitation dumping him on the bench for Sunday’s clash with the LA Chargers.
He’s only completed eight catches for 69 yards in the opening three games of the new NFL campaign.
The tight end and star quarter-back need to click like the good old days.
But there’s nothing wrong with the pair – business associates and best pals off the pitch – away from the football field.
The U.S. Sun has been told Mahomes was showered with thoughtful gifts for his 29th birthday on September 17, totaling a whopping $70,000 (£52,343).
Thanks to some help from Mahomes’ wife Brittany, Kelce wowed his “brother” with an engraved $54,200 (£40,528) Rolex watch and three other presents with a firm nod to the franchise, which has helped them become NFL legends.
“Travis loves watches, and he talks about them a lot with Patrick,” the source told The U.S. Sun. ” He had P and M engraved on the back to make it more personal.”
His gifts also included a striking, $2,300 (£1,720) Park Seo-Bo wool cardigan in red from Louis Vuitton which is made in Italy and described on their website as “vibrant.”
“Pearl-effect buttons add a sophisticated twist, while an LV ornament on the left pocket and a Park Seo-Bo label on the left cuff add a smart finishing touch,” gushed the official description.
That could be paired with a similarly red special edition Park Seo-Bo Keepall Bandouliere bag with a textile lining.

Kelce, as revealed by The U.S. Sun earlier this year, has been looking at real estate all over Europe, including a place at Italian beauty spot Lake Como with girlfriend Taylor Swift.
“Travis really fell in love with Italy, and he wants to educate Patrick about the culture and the wine,” added the insider.
“That was the cherry on top of the cake!”
